Hydraulic pump bubble hazards revealed

Hydraulic pump in the use of the process may encounter such a situation: when the pump local pressure for some reason down to the water at the corresponding temperature of the saturated vapor pressure, it will begin to vaporize a large number of bubbles. That these bubbles on the Rexroth hydraulic pump in the end what are the hazards?

First, the source of bubbles in the oil and its hazards

  1. Sources of air bubbles:

- Hydraulic oil in the production, storage and transportation and the system works under atmospheric pressure, the oil contains air is unavoidable, mainly through the tank and the pump suction pipe mixing into, such as the tank oil level is too low, oil pipeline leakage, the system back to the mouth of the oil pipe is higher than the tank oil level and so on will lead to the air into the situation.

- Dissolved in the oil in a certain amount of air in a saturated state, flow through a specific area, when the absolute pressure drops to the air separation pressure, oversaturated air will be precipitated to form bubbles.

  1. Bubble hazard:

- The system works poorly, so that the oil compression rate increases dramatically, seriously jeopardizing the reliability of the system, such as automatic control failure, intermittent movement of the working mechanism, increased scrap rate, and even cause mechanical and personal accidents due to device malfunction.

- The oil temperature rises, the temperature rises sharply after the instantaneous compression of air bubbles, the surrounding oil will burn resulting in a sudden rise in oil temperature. At the same time, air thermal conductivity is poor, there are bubbles when the thermal conductivity of the big drop, affecting the cooling effect of oil.

Second, the adverse consequences of rising oil temperature

  1. accelerate the oxidation of oil, so that its oxidation rate increases exponentially, resulting in oil deterioration, viscosity increases, acidic compounds and slag, etc., triggering corrosion of metal parts.
  2. Decrease the lubrication performance of the oil, resulting in increased friction and accelerated wear of parts.
  3. accelerate the aging of seals, so that they lose sealing performance.
  4. lead to cavitation, causing hydraulic shock, the system is very harmful, but also make the system vibration, noise increase and pump volumetric efficiency is reduced.

We must pay attention to these hazards, take precautions to ensure the normal and stable operation of hydraulic pumps and other equipment.
